IOWA 1000 YARD BENCHREST CLUB - 2006 CLUB AWARDS

 

 

A membership in the Iowa 1000 yard Club entitles a club member to participate in the following yearly awards for Iowa Club Champions and and the cumulative Top Gun awards. Wood plaques will be given to each Champion at the end of the shooting year.

 

Iowa Club Shooter of the year   based on Iowa club points earned during the year, Iowa Club points are the same as IBS points for winning a relay and a match. And new for 2006, the club will give additional club points for the Two gun, Light and Heavy gun Overall two match aggregate winners. The points will be of the same value as IBS match wins. The winners of these points will be calculated by aggregating the related results of the two Matches shot on Match day.

 

Iowa Club Female Shooter of the year - based on Iowa club points earned during the year.

 

Iowa Club Junior Shooter of the year - based on Iowa club points earned during the year.

 

Iowa Six Match Aggregate Champions - based on the individual standings for the six match aggregates for group and score, Light and Heavy gun.

 

Overall Iowa Six Match Aggregate Championsbased on six match aggregate standings for group and score for Light and Heavy Gun.

 

Iowa Two Gun Championbased on standings for Overall Light and Heavy six match aggregates.

 

Iowa Three Gun Championbased on standings for overall Light, Heavy and varmint six match aggregates.

 

TRAVELING PLAQUES – new for 2005 the Club gave out traveling plaques for the following Club Champions, Club shooter of the year, Two and Three gun Club Champions, Overall Light, Heavy and Varmint Club Champions. Each year the Club champions’ name will be engraved on a plate to be put on the plaque and the Champion can keep the traveling plaque until the last match of the new year when they have to return it to the Club to be presented to the new Club champions.

 

THE IOWA TOP GUN AWARDthis is new for 2006 and is given out at the end of the year and is based on the cumulative number of Iowa club points won, the awards are as follows:

Yearly door prizes

 

In addition to the above yearly Club awards all Iowa club members that compete in at least six Iowa Club Matches during the year will have their name put in once for randomly drawn door prizes at the last match of the year. In addition for each match competed in over six, the club member’s name will be entered again. If a club member then competes in 10 matches during the year their name will be entered 5 times in the door prize drawings. Number of door prizes and values will be determined by the Club.
